Cycle: Chronicles of a Mother does not tell a linear story, but an experience. It is an honest and visceral portrait of a woman who moves between what she was, what she is and what she still tries to be, trapped in a cycle that hurts, but also sustains. 

John Luis Destrade Delgado

Jhon began his dance journey at the age of 13 with theyouth company Paso a Paso in Cuba, where he took part in prestigious galas celebrating music awards andvarious community arts initiatives. His early training laid the foundation for a dynamic career, and in 2016, he was accepted into the Escuela Nacional de Danza. During his academic years, he garnered multiple awards for his exceptional performances at student festivals and competitions. Following his move to the United States, Jhon launched a contemporary dance program that reflects a fusion of his Cuban heritage and a variety of international techniques. This initiative is a testament to his dedication to both preserving cultural roots and embracing innovation. Currently, as a principal dancer with Tampa City Ballet, Jhon has premiered leading roles in celebrated productions such as Interstices, The Nutcracker, If I Cry, and Carmen. Beyond his performances, he is deeply involved in enriching the local artistic community in Tampa

Rosabel Garcia

Rosabel Garcia, a native of Cuba, began her dance journey at the age of two in La Habana. After immigrating to the United States, she continued pursuing her passion by training in multiple styles, including ballet, modern, jazz, ballroom, hip-hop, and musical theatre. This diverse background has shaped her into a versatile dancer, skilled in both concert and commercial dance. In high school, she performed works by renowned choreographers and companies, including Dance NOW! Miami and Cuban Classical Ballet. She recently graduated from the University of South Florida with a BFA in Dance and a Dance Medicine and Science Certificate, and trained internationally through the USF Dance in Paris Program. During her time at USF, she had the privilege of working with guest choreographers Kate Weare, James Morrow, and Kelly King, as well as performing in faculty works.  Rosabel is currently in her first season as a company member with Tampa City Ballet.
